Altering Typography

The Conj - eCommerce WordPress Theme includes a built-in typography class that provides you with a preview and allows you to change the typeface used throughout the different elements of your shop.

Follow the steps described below to alter the typography used in your webshop:

Heading

The following settings will imply the font family changes to all six levels of heading HTML tags. H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H6.

  1. On the frontend, in the Admin bar, Customize.

  2. On the backend, click Appearance » Customize.

  3. Navigate to Typography section.

  4. Locate the Heading call-out.

  5. Choose between more than 780 popular Google web fonts.

  6. Font weight (Variants) can also be specified as part of the typography altering; The following options are available:

    • Thin — 100

    • Light — 300

    • Normal — 400

    • Medium — 500

    • Bold — 700

    • Ultra Bold — 900

  7. Preview your selection instantly.

  8. Click the Publish button to save the changes.

Paragraph

The following settings will imply the font family changes to HTML <p> element which represents a paragraph of text.

  1. On the frontend, in the Admin bar, Customize.

  2. On the backend, click Appearance » Customize.

  3. Navigate to Typography section.

  4. Locate the Paragraph call-out.

  5. Choose between more than 780 popular Google web fonts.

  6. Font weight (Variants) can also be specified as part of the typography altering; The following options are available:

    • Thin — 100

    • Light — 300

    • Normal — 400

    • Medium — 500

    • Bold — 700

    • Ultra Bold — 900

  7. Preview your selection instantly.

  8. Click the Publish button to save the changes.

Button

The following settings will imply the font family changes to HTML button element which represents a clickable button, that can be found in forms, or anywhere in a document.

  1. On the frontend, in the Admin bar, Customize.

  2. On the backend, click Appearance » Customize.

  3. Navigate to Typography section.

  4. Locate the Button call-out.

  5. Choose between more than 780 popular Google web fonts.

  6. Font weight (Variants) can also be specified as part of the typography altering; The following options are available:

    • Thin — 100

    • Light — 300

    • Normal — 400

    • Medium — 500

    • Bold — 700

    • Ultra Bold — 900

  7. Preview your selection instantly.

  8. Click the Publish button to save the changes.

Selecting Font Subsets

Some of the fonts in the Google fonts directory support multiple scripts (like Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek for example). To specify which subsets should be downloaded one or a few of the following values should be appended to the URL.

Selecting correct set of subsets is essential mainly if have specific characters such as ë, ç, æ… in your language.

Selecting subsets to enable specific characters support
  1. On the frontend, in the Admin bar, Customize.

  2. On the backend, click Appearance » Customize.

  3. Navigate to Typography section.

  4. Locate the Subset call-out.

  5. Specify which subsets should be downloaded for your language; The following options are available:

    • Latin

    • Latin Ext

    • Greek

    • Greek Ext

    • Cyrillic

    • Cyrillic Ext

    • Vietnamese

  6. Preview your selection instantly.

  7. Click the Publish button to save the changes.

Try to only enable the subsets that you use, because the site will load slower with each additional subgroup.
