The Envato Market plugin helps you to receive automatic updates of the Conj - eCommerce WordPress Theme by connecting with the Envato Market API using a secure OAuth personal token.
Theme updates always provide bug fixes, security patches, new features, and other enhancements which makes it very important to keep your setup up to date.
Many users find updating Envato Market items difficult and time-consuming because they assume that the updates need to be downloaded from the Envato Market site and then manually installed, however, thanks to the market plugin this is not the case any longer.
Before updating your theme make sure your WordPress setup is up to date. The Conj - eCommerce WordPress Theme makes use of new functions provided in WordPress to keep things optimized and up to date.
Backups ensure that you have an immediate action plan should something go wrong when you update. If you are using one of the managed WordPress hosting services, you don’t have to worry about this, as they have this system built into their platform which creates daily backups for you. If you are using another hosting platform, be sure to back up first.
Any website powered by WordPress has two places where data and content are stored.
wp-content folder, where your themes, plugins, and any uploaded content is located.
Another is the database that organizes and stores your products, orders, posts, pages, etc.
Unlimited storage space.
Regular and automated backups of your site including the database, all content, plugins, themes, settings, and more.
Instant restores so you can revert to a previous version with one click.
Direct access to support experts.
There are two parts to backing up your WordPress site: Database and Files:
Database: Most hosting services allow you to do this either via PHPMyAdmin or with their own backup tools. Refer to your hosting service’s documentation for information on backing up your database.
wp-content folder: FTP (or File Transfer Protocol) is a way to move files from your hosting account to your computer and vice versa. You need to locate this folder and backup your theme and plugin files.
If you are running a caching plugin (such as W3 Total Cache, Super Cache, or Quick Cache), make sure to deactivate it before you update.
Deactivating your caching plugin ensures that you aren’t caching maintenance pages during the update or otherwise interfering with the update process.
The Envato Market plugin can install WordPress themes and plugins purchased from ThemeForest and CodeCanyon by connecting with the Envato Market API using a secure OAuth personal token. Once your themes and plugins are installed WordPress will periodically check for updates, so keeping your items up to date is as simple as a few clicks.
You can either add a global token to connect all your items from your account or connect directly with a specific item using a single-use token and entering the item ID.
Sadly and unlike other WordPress plugins, the Envato Market plugin is not available to install from the official WordPress plugins repository. However, this plugin is available on Envato (as well as via Github) and is completely free to install and use.
Follow the steps below to install your copy of the Envato Market plugin:
Click here to go to the Envato Market plugin page and click on the Download button.
Log into your WordPress website and navigate to Plugins » Add New.
Click on the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page.

envato-market.zip file that you downloaded earlier from the Envato Market page.
Then click the Install Now button and when prompted click the Activate Plugin link/button.
Now that the plugin is installed and active you should notice a new Envato Market top level menu item in your WordPress dashboard.
The next step is to connect the Envato Market plugin with your Envato account to have access to all of your marketplace purchases as well as item updates.
Login to your WordPress Dashboard.
Click on the Envato Market link in your dashboard menu.
The first step is to create an Envato API token. To do this, click on the generate a personal token link.
The market plugin is going to request a few permissions to enable your access associated with your Envato account. (Envato sites, the ability to download your items, a list of your purchases and verification of your purchases)
Enter a name for your token.
Check the box that you have read and agreed to the terms and then click the green button to generate your token.
Once your token is created you will see a green success screen.
Copy the key shown in the screen/field to enter it in your WordPress admin panel so your site can access the Envato Market APIs. (Note that copying your personal token code is very important since Envato doesn’t store a copy of that for you)
Go back to your site dashboard (in a new tab/window).
Click on the Envato Market link in your dashboard menu.
Paste in your Envato API token then click Save button.
Once your token is saved and validated your page will refresh to show your Envato Market landing page with added tabs for your items. The added tab(s) display all of your theme and plugin purchases as well as their version numbers and quick links to the theme and author pages.
Now that you have the Envato Market plugin installed and connected successfully with your Envato account you will have all of your purchases and item updates at your fingertips.
If an update is available for an item, you have purchased you will see an orange notice displayed above the item name. To update your item via the Envato Market plugin simply click on the Update Available link in the orange notice to begin installing the update.
When the update process is complete you will see a quick green notice that your item has been Updated!
Additionally, if a theme or plugin update is available you’ll also be able to see it on the core WordPress updates page by clicking on the refresh icon in your WordPress admin bar or by navigating to the Dashboard » Updates. From here you can process your update per usual by selecting and updating your item.
The plugin Help Tab includes common problems and instructions on what to do if something doesn’t work correctly within the plugin.
